Welcome

Isaiah 58:10:  “Are you willing to spend yourself on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness and your night will become like the noonday.”

Welcome to God’s Love, Gods Hands, a ministry team dedicated to the transformation of communities in the Dominican Republic by communicating the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  This transformation is facilitated through a partnership with Mission Hope (https://www.missionhope.org/) and 410 Bridge in two communities in the Hato Mayor region of the Dominican Republic: Batey Prudencio and Barrio Las Malvinas. These two communities are unique in that one community is made up of Haitian immigrants and the other community is Dominican. A great cross cultural experience!  Team members will have the opportunity to participate across multiple activities—such as helping with latrine construction, health and sanitation training, youth VBS sessions, and youth entrepreneurship and business training,
and the communities of Placer Bonito, Dominican Republic.  This partnership provides for both spiritual and physical, community defined needs through Mission Hope’s Community Development program.  This program focuses specifically in these three areas:

1.  Spiritual transformation through the local church by helping them to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community.

2.  Leadership transformation by developing and training leaders who will set the vision for the community and work to solve the problems in their community.

3.  Family transformation through helping strengthen and support the needs of families in the community (Health/Hygiene training, Medical and Dental Clinics, Education).

1 John 3:16-18:  “By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees our brothers and sisters need, yet closes his heart against them, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
